On September 19 we had the pleasure of hosting some representatives from Sahmyook University, an academic institution located in Seoul, South Korea. Also among those present was the director, Il-mok Kim.
Like the Adventist Institute “Villa Aurora,” Sahmyook University is also part of the worldwide network of academic institutes of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
A collaboration was established between the two academic entities through the signing of a memorandum that will lead to a series of joint initiatives and projects in the future.
With the memorandum, the two institutions pledge to establish a program of academic and research cooperation.
This cooperation reflects the desire of both institutions to contribute their resources to improving international education and understanding through mutual exchange of student curricula and research, faculty collaboration, development of professional academic programs, and exchange of publications and research reports.
The Korean Institute was founded in 1906 and today is the largest Adventist university in the world.
