On Wednesday, March 26, at 11 a.m., the Adventist Institute of Florence will host a new event with “Libro Amico,” the series of meetings dedicated to presenting texts of cultural and social significance.
The event will feature Matteo Bortolon, author of the article “Against Green. For a true ecology” published in La Fionda. Bortolon, a journalist for Il Manifesto and contributor to CDTM-Italy, will offer a critical analysis of contemporary ecological policies, exploring the limits and contradictions of so-called “green” and proposing an alternative vision for true environmental sustainability.
In dialogue with the author will be Tamara Pispisa, a lecturer at the Adventist Faculty of Theology, who will lead the interview to explore the topics discussed and stimulate open and constructive reflection with the audience in attendance.
The meeting will be held in-person at the Adventist Institute headquarters, located at 8 Ellen Gould White Street, Florence. For those who cannot be present in the hall, the event will be streamed live on the Adventist Institute’s Facebook page, providing an opportunity for a wider audience to follow the discussion and participate virtually.
The initiative is sponsored by CeCSUR (Cultural Center for Humanities and Religious Studies), in collaboration with the Adventist University Institute and the Adventist Faculty of Theology, with support from the Adventist 8×1000.
