Davide Romano – director Adventist Institute

The Adventist Institute has released the new edition of the Moon and Sun contest for the year 2023. The contest, now in its 13th year, provides a valuable opportunity for young Adventist scholars to make their thesis work and curriculum known, guided and questioned by their faith in Jesus.

On the
page dedicated to the contest
are available the
notice
of the competition and the
entry form
to participate in this competition, which will award the following scholarships:

  • 4 scholarships (worth €500.00 each) reserved for undergraduates with a Bachelor’s degree;
  • 4 scholarships (worth €750.00 each) reserved for CU undergraduates or master‘s degree holders;
  • 2 scholarships (worth € 1,000.00 each) for master’s and/or doctoral theses,

Dissertation work must relate to topics in the area of spirituality, religion or the Adventist Church. Those who belong to the Adventist Church of the Italian Union and have graduated from all national non-Adventist universities in the 2023 academic year are eligible to apply.

The application must be submitted by filling out the form on the
page dedicated to the call for applications
by December 31, 2023.

For this project, the Adventist Institute is collaborating with various Adventist organizations including: the CeCSUR (Cultural Center for Humanities and Religious Sciences), the Adventist Youth Ministries and the group GSA (Young Adventist Scholars), and wishes to support and follow our young university students so that they may feel strong support from the church in the continued integration of their academic training into their own world of values and being “Adventist.”

I encourage and urge our many dear college students to participate in this initiative.

May the Lord guide and sustain you and above all, enlighten, inspire and give you wisdom in every moment of your life.
