Florence Favorite: Whenever possible, going out to eat with friends or relatives and enjoying simple Tuscan or Neapolitan dishes.
Goals for all Students: The achievement of the educational objectives, of course, but I hope that our year spent together will also be light and fun. Learning to manage one’s positive energy, knowing how to concentrate and relax appropriately.

Raquel Vervloet

Years Teaching at Villa: 13 years
Florence Favorite: I love strolling through the streets, getting an ice cream, visting a museum, entering different churches and hearing their bell tower ringing at the same time, and watching the sunset over the Arno from the Ponte Vecchio while breathing in the air between the old and new.
Goals for Students: To have them get a “taste” of basic drawing techniques using various materials. Also, getting them to look at drawing not as something only for those who are already “Great,” becasue we are all capable of drawing. Everyone, with time and patience, can draw too.
