Continuing education course

In memory of her. The long march to freedom

START OF LESSONS: January 31, 2024

COURSE PRESENTATION

Violence against women unfortunately continues to be a topical issue. The daily reports are merciless. The facts, gruesome. Attempts to explain the phenomenon are often incongruous or biased. This continuing education course, offered in partnership with the
Artemisia Anti-Violence Center of Florence.
, has a twofold objective:

  • Investigate the root causes of such violence;
  • Create a more vigilant sensitivity to all those attitudes that are too often deemed “normal” or “tolerable.”

We cannot face this journey back into gender violence without feeling the need to reclassify, so to speak, some of the most evocative words in our culture: woman, mother, father, family, marriage, body, God, etc.

On these and other “free words” of our time, with their very often intuitive yet distorted meanings, it will be necessary to try to make a discourse of truth.

Target audience

The course is open to anyone interested in learning more about the topics covered.

The lectures will be conducted in distance mode on an online platform and will also be available in delayed mode. At the end of the course, a certificate of attendance will be issued and, upon request, the certification of 3 educational credits (CFUs) after a profit test.
