Continuing education course

Dialogues on mafias. History, symbols, organization and presence in the area

COURSE PRESENTATION

We are living in a complicated geopolitical period, in which many traditional arrangements are rapidly changing, with new protagonists and the emergence of unprecedented scenarios. In this mutation of scenarios affecting the economy, entrepreneurship, and politics, in the age of pandemic, even mafias show great capacity for adaptation and resilience.

We therefore aim in a simple, informative but at the same time precise and documented way to provide information and a useful method of analysis to understand the criminal phenomenon.

We like to think that this course therefore serves to “vaccinate” against mafias.

We will discuss this with scholars, magistrates, reporters, and men and women from the institutions engaged daily in law enforcement and cultural and legal investigation of the nexuses that allow mafias to thrive.

The dialogues on mafias will be an essential piece in the formation of the ruling class of the future, modern and capable of facing new challenges including Mafia 4.0.
