Memorandum of understanding signed between Meyer University Hospital Company and Villa Aurora Adventist Institute

When two Florentine institutions that have been working in the area for years come together, it is good news for the whole city. L’
Meyer University Hospital Company
and theAdventist Villa Aurora Institute, after several months of exchanges and meetings sign a protocol of understanding to foster common and complementary initiatives, combining the experiences gained over the years by putting them at the service of new experiments.

Top-notch expertise, with two beautiful campuses in the hills of Careggi, a nascent one, strongly desired by the prestigious Meyerpediatric institution , the other, the campus of theAdventist Villa Aurora Institute che has been operating in Italy for eighty-three years, offering many young people the its educational, cultural and theological mission. The two campuses will collaborate on extremely topical issues: the correct lifestyles, the healthy nutrition but also theinclusiveness, the ecological and environmental sustainability and the sharing of educational, cultural and spiritual programs.

The two institutions are determined to dialogue and cooperate, committing themselves into useful and concrete projects for the community. All within an institutional framework with a vocation for youth teaching and pedagogy.

On Friday, July 15, 2022, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed at the “Vittorio Fantoni” Great Hall of the Adventist University Faculty, leaving ample room for cooperation, experimentation and joint research.

Meyer General Director Dr. Alberto Zanobini and Adventist Institute Administrator Dr. Gioele Murittu, accompanied by their respective staffs expressed mutual satisfaction immediately after the signing.

The smiles on the faces of those present, the handshake and given the hour, the vegetarian lunch at the campus cafeteria (with produce from Villa Aurora’s bioactive garden) were the best way to end a busy morning.

In a historical phase in which systemic optics are invoked as a garrison to resist the new, serious environmental, social, and value difficulties, this joint work aims to open new glimmers of optimism and dynamic hope, starting with our city of Florence.
