On Wednesday, November 13, at 11:00 a.m., there will be a new meeting of the “Friend Book” series dedicated to the presentation of the book “Talking to God. An inquiry between philosophy and theology.” (Bollati Boringhieri, 2024), written by Professor Umberto Curi of the University of Padua.
The book offers a profound reflection on one of the oldest and most complex themes: dialogue with God. Curi, a noted philosopher, explores the topic from both philosophical and theological perspectives, seeking to answer fundamental questions about how human beings can relate to the divine. Through an analysis that interweaves philosophy and theology, the text addresses issues related to language, faith and reason, exploring the meaning of “talking” with God in religious tradition and modern thought.
The interview will be conducted by Professor Hanz Gutierrez, a theologian and philosopher, who will stimulate discussion around the main themes covered in the book. Gutierrez and Curi will discuss the implications of dialogue with God in the contemporary world, delving into how this ancient question continues to be relevant to current philosophical and religious reflection.
The meeting will be held at the Adventist Institute conference room, but it will also be possible to stream it for those who cannot be present in person at the link: https://hopemedia.it/istituto-avventista/ and on our FaceBook page.
Don’t miss the opportunity to explore the topic of dialogue with God through the perspective of one of Italy’s most distinguished philosophers, in a context that encourages reflection and discussion.
