“Book Friend presents, “Cybercapitalism. End of the social bond?” by Emanuela Fornari

On Wednesday, September 25, at 11 a.m., the cultural review“Libro Amico” returns with a new unmissable event, dedicated to the presentation of the book “Cybercapitalism.
End of social bonding?
” by Professor Emanuela Fornari, professor at the University of Roma Tre.

The essay addresses an issue central to our time: the impact of digital capitalism on social relations.
In an increasingly digitized world, where the market and technology seem to rule every aspect of life, Fornari questions how this is transforming the bonds between people.
Is it really possible to maintain social cohesion in a context dominated by the logic of profit and the pervasiveness of digital platforms?

Joining the author will be Professor Hanz Gutierrez, professor at the Adventist Faculty of Theology, who will offer a philosophical and theological view of the transformations taking place.
The dialogue between Fornari and Gutierrez promises to enrich the debate on ethical, social and cultural issues at a time in history when the role of technologies is increasingly in the public eye.

A critical reflection on social ties in the age of cybercapitalism

“Cybercapitalism. End of the Social Bond?” is not only a theoretical analysis, but also an important critique of the dynamics of contemporary capitalism.
Fornari explores how the commodification of human relations, mediated by new technological tools, is reshaping the social fabric and influencing power relations, labor and politics.
The book questions how we can rethink our social models to counter the progressive alienation and disintegration of human ties.

Participate in the “Friendly Book” event.

The meeting will be held in the conference room of the Adventist Institute and will be open to the public.
