On Wednesday, Dec. 18, at 11 a.m., the next meeting of the B.B. Beach Lectures 2024, a series of events devoted to topical philosophical, political and cultural issues, will be held. These meetings are intended as a privileged venue for dialogue and discussion, inviting participants to reflect on issues central to our society.
The next event will feature Luciano Violante, a prominent figure on the Italian institutional scene, former magistrate and former president of the Chamber of Deputies. During the event, Violante will present his new book, “But I Always Saved You. The Mask of Death and the Nomos of Life,” published by Bollati Boringhieri in 2024. The volume addresses major issues, exploring the complex relationship between life, justice and the meaning of institutions in contemporary society.
The meeting will be moderated by Davide Romano, director of the Adventist Institute for Biblical Culture and lecturer at the Adventist Faculty of Theology. Through a stimulating and in-depth interview, he will guide the audience in analyzing the key points of the book and the author’s personal reflections. It will be a time of exchange and sharing, in which dialogue will be the real protagonist.
The B.B. Beach Lectures 2024 is a participatory experience that focuses on direct discussion with speakers and active involvement of the audience, inviting participants to reflect on issues central to our society.
The meeting will be held at the Adventist Institute conference room, but it will also be possible to stream it for those who cannot be present in person at the link https://hopemedia.it/istituto-avventista/ or on our Facebook page.
