DOGMATICS III
The Dogmatics III course thematizes the doctrine, so-called, of ultimate things, namely Eschatology. The course aims to take an approach that focuses on the nexus between eschatology, Christology and pneumatology. Not surprisingly, the link with ecclesiology is instead deliberately downplayed-though not ignored-for the reasons we will say.
The doctrine of ultimate things is a doctrine of Christian hope, and for that very reason it is also a political doctrine. Indeed, in the course of Dogmatics III some attention will be accorded to the historical dimension as well as the cosmic dimension of that doctrine. To the spatial dimension as well as the temporal dimension. Finally, the liturgical dimension, that is, of Christian worship as understood by the Adventist tradition as part of the eschatological proclamation of the New Testament.
