On Wednesday, Dec. 10, at 11 a.m., the Adventist University Institute of Florence will host a new edition of Libro Amico, the event dedicated to cultural exploration and discovery of current authors and topics. This Libro Amico meeting will feature Sabina Baral, from theOffice of Communication and Ecumenical Relations of the Waldensian Table, author of “Timid Christians. Regaining the Restlessness and Courage of Faith,” published by Pellegrini editore in 2024, with a preface by Paolo Ricca.
The book invites deep reflection on the experience of faith today, amid fears, responsibilities and the desire for authenticity, offering a critical look at contemporary Christianity and calling for the need to rediscover the courage of restlessness as the engine of witness.
In dialogue with the author will be Hans Gutierrez, lecturer at the Adventist Faculty of Theology, who will lead the interview, delving into the central themes of the work and opening up insights for the audience.
The event will be held in the Conference Room of the Adventist University Institute, 8 Ellen Gould White Street, Florence, and is open to all. It will also be possible to follow the event via live streaming on the Institute’s Facebook page: http://facebook.com/IstitutoAvventista
