The next “Friend Book” event will be held on Wednesday, March 12 at 11 a.m. at the Adventist Institute Conference Room, 8 Ellen Gould White Street, Florence. The event will feature Luciano Violante, former magistrate and former president of the Chamber of Deputies, who will present his latest book “But I Always Saved You. The Mask of Death and the Nomos of Life,” published by Bollati Boringhieri in 2024.
The meeting will be an important opportunity to explore the topics covered in the volume, which explores the complex relationship between justice, history and the ethical dimension of life. The title itself suggests a deep reflection on the meaning of salvation and the legal and moral implications that flow from it.
In dialogue with the author will be Davide Romano, director of the IACB (Adventist Institute of Biblical Culture) and professor at the Adventist Faculty of Theology. Thanks to his experience and expertise, the interview will offer insights and reflections useful for understanding the book’s message and its impact on contemporary society.
For those who cannot be present in the hall, the event will be streamed live on the Adventist Institute’s Facebook page, providing an opportunity for a wider audience to follow the discussion and participate virtually.
The initiative is sponsored by CeCSUR (Cultural Center for Humanities and Religious Studies), in collaboration with the Adventist University Institute and the Adventist Faculty of Theology, with support from Adventist 8×1000.
“Libro Amico” is once again confirmed as a must-attend event for fans of culture and literature, offering high-level meetings with prominent authors. It is an opportunity to discuss topical issues and explore the role of justice in contemporary society.
