Why study theology today? What does it mean to live and study on a college campus?
These are some of the questions we asked André Legni, a student enrolled in the second year of the
master’s degree program “Pastoral Care of the Family”
of the Adventist Faculty of Theology.
According to André, it is important to study theology today, on the one hand to gain clarity on some of the faith and existential answers that we ask ourselves, and on the other hand to grasp and write about the new questions that life proposes to us. Theology allows us to discover the scope of the revelation God has given to all humankind. More importantly, such training becomes necessary for those who, like André, feel a vocation for pastoral ministry. Studying at Villa Aurora means‘relationships,’ plural. It meansfacing challenges, recognizing others, experiencing acceptance. It also means maturing together.
Just six years ago André participated in the
Open Day orientation
because he was seeking answers from God about his future. That weekend was decisive for his life. He was already coming from a previous course of study but felt inside a strong vocation for pastoral ministry and according to him the Open Day would open or close this door. The door swung wide open, and since that day, 6 wonderful years of personal, scholarly and relational growth have passed.
If you are also full of doubts about your life … about your future. If you feel God’s call within you to deepen His message to bring it to the world. If you want to have anauthentic faith experience…now is the time to find out if this is the right path for you.
We look forward to seeing you May 27-29 in Florence. It will be a good opportunity to learn about the
educational offerings
,
interact with faculty, familiarize with students in various courses, andvisit the university campus with all its facilities and services.
